I have found a nice R388. I have a few questions:

1. Is it easy to add a product detector internally, or will I be better =
off using a "sideband slicer"?
2. Any suggestions for a matching speaker?
3. Where do I get the grey paint to repaint the front of the radio? Is =
there an easy way to touch up letters, or has somebody developed a =
"screen" that you can repaint the lettering? How about white applique =
letters?
4. How rare is the mechanical add on filter kit to convert to a 51j4?
