First , dont forget blowing fresh air from the front of the fan is 10 times
more efficient for cooling due to air velocity .
Dont forget there is nothing heat susceptible inside the PA cage ....there
ARE already NOT LESS than 10 big holes around each 6146.....to help
natural convection ...going UP ....
According to me the most critical part needing cooling is the bottom of the
chassi where all the resistors are cooking
THE PTO and all the Crystals like on the frying pan .....If after one
hour or 2 you slide your fingers down the back of the PTO all the way down
so the tip of your finger are touching the chassi you will almost burn
yourself and the bracket holding the back of the PTO is conducting heat from
the chassi to the PTO .....if I do the same test with mine it is JUST WARM
I am only using the 6.3 VAC from the back RCA jack ( Automatically switch
ON and OFF with the M2 ) to power a 48 VDC regular Muffin fan ( 4 by 4 by
1 ) using one diode and one small 5000 Mfd 25 VDC cap to provide about 9
VDC to power the fan ......this way there is NO NOISES and the cooling is
VERY EFFICIENT BLOWING IN .....my fan is located under the center of the
chassi blowing under the holes of the cabinet .......In order to do so I had
to extend the feets by using 4 Kodak 35 millimeter film black boxes ....you
drill a hole in the bottom of the Kodak and screew the feets inside the
upside down boxes. you close the boxes with the covers ....
73 and good luck to all
