Bob, one more thing:  if you can have the unit demonstrated, try placing =
your hand on the low voltage transformer, located on the left rear of =
the chassis.  If it is rather warm to touch after 15 minutes, you can =
bet that the transformer is drawing too much current.  This can be =
caused by leaky bypass caps (tubular type) on the final amplifier =
screen, and other caps.

There can be lots of leaky caps in the unit that will place a "strain" =
on this transformer.  It may not be the fault of the transformer itself.

My 32V just get slightly warm to the touch even after hours of =
operation.  It is not the transformer as some may tell you but somewhere =
down the line, there are leaky capacitors on the low voltage buss.

    Bob, the 32V is an excellent AM transmitter.

    We use one on 40 meters at the Collins Radio Center.
