Thanks to all who provide suggestions for correcting
"no plate current swing" in SSB mode.  Some headway
made, add 4.7 K resistor between ALC and ground.

Now I see indications of upper swing of plate current
and hear SSB on secondary receiver. However the SSB is
distorted (also has and accompaning tone) and have to
increase the mic gain to almost full position. 

Also have obeserved that the ALC meter needle slams to
the left side of meter and can not adjust the ALC.
Also have observed that the S meter can not be zero
even shorting the antenna terminal.

Unsure if there' one or many problem. Again, thank to
all for the great help...K2HDU...Ken
