HI ALL. I had a need for an 800 cycle supply as well as 400 cycle
source. This was in the 60 to 80 watt/va range.
I used a pa amplifier driven with an audio oscillator, monitored with a
frequency counter.
this unit had a 500 ohm output which gave me about 115 v single phase.
There are many solid state and tube amps out there that may have been
used in high level apps such as stadiums, ice rinks etc. The tube stuff
is completely out of our price range but there are solid state stuff
available.
Output voltages may be varied with step up auto transformers, takes a bit
of imagination there.
Three phase is a whole new ballpark!!
