[Collins] Collins TCS12 mods

One of the first people who designed and implemented a preamp for the TCS
series Collins radios was the husband of K4SYM in Charleston, SC, Don
Whitely.  I cannot remember his call but he perfected the audio for the TCS.
I sent him a letter a year or so ago and it came back with undeliverable on
the envelope.  I checked my old notes and I must have done away with the
schematic as I too used one in the late 50's early 60's as the TCS was my
first rig ever.  I wish I had another but those days will never be
reproduced.

If anyone in Charleston knows Don and Vivian Whitely, perhaps they can
contact them and see if the information as to a preamp still exists.  Alas,
it has been a lot of years since I lived in Charleston and I don't have a
clue as to the Whitely's whereabouts.
