Dear collegues

I've been reading the mails in this thread (might be late as I subscribe to the digests only) and would like to add my 5c worth of info:

In my shack are three such 651S-1 connectors/cables, all connectors made by Bendix as follows:

i) MS3116F-16-8S, date code 7414

ii) PT06A-16-8S (SR), date code 8902

iii) PT06E-16-8S (SR), date code 9701

All inserts (sockets) marked "Bendix" and "16-8" in standard orientation. Whether the strain relief on all is original I cannot tell.

Now looking at a current ITT-Cannon catalog for KPT/KPSE connectors (which include the required type) I found:

KPT general purpose solder contact connectors (three point bayonet), class B general duty with strain relief, sockets, standard orientation, no modification:

KPT06B-16-8S

I hope you'll find this helpful. New these connectors are indeed somewhat pricey.

73,
