[Collins] Speaker Replacement

I can vouch for this.  I have a reproduction 312B-3 ( thanks to David
alerting me to the existence of the company which is only a few miles away),
the audio quality is excellent.

The new speaker reproducton 312B-3 unit that is being offered by Advanced
Optics Limited has a much smaller speaker than that of the original speaker.
However, the sound reproduction is 10 times better.  I would recommend that
anyone who is replacing the speaker in the 312B-3 or 312B-4 contact this
firm using the email address below and let all of know where these speakers
are manufactured and at what cost.

It appears that when I look at my Advanced Optics Limited unit that the
speaker is made in the U.K.  I was going to investigate this but have not
done so here is a chance for someone to step up to the plate and find out
where the speaker is manufactured.  Would make a better replacement than the
original.

Incidentally, all of Advanced Optics Limited, Collins items can be found on
the CRA website in the Collins Store section.  It is the last item on the
page.  I have the speaker unit and switching box and the workmanship and
parts are excellent.
