Gents - The L network is the most efficient and shows lower voltages across
components. Viz the Coillins 180S
tuner. The Ten Tec tuner is a good circuit and probably the most efficient
one for sale to hams today. The Palstar
is the most heavy duty available uses a T network. Check the antenna
matching program on the CD with latest edition
of the ARRL handbook. I've built dozens of tuners and my favorite is a T
net using vacuum variables and a Johnson roller coil. It will match
anything from 160 -10 meters! The Nye Viking is a great circuit, but is
"homemade" build quality and
grossly overpriced and over rated. Foregoing all in my not-so-humble
opinion. Brgds all, Geo
