  OK, Tom,
 
 I'd like to know more about the current MARS setup.
 
 I put one of the first USAF MARS stations on the air. It was K1FAE at 4th 
Comm. Squad., 4th Jet Fighter Wing, Dow Air force Base in Bangor, Maine. 
Coincidentally, my first contact was with K4AF, USAF MARS Hqs, Pentagon, 
Wash. DC.
 
 I am a veteran of WW II, the Berlin airlift and the Korean War.
 
 Used to be a civilian MARS operator, too.
