Cam:

I am using D-104 "lollypop" mikes with both the KWM-2 and the KWM-2A, one
with and one without the amplifier which some models of the D-104 have in
their base, and they work fine. For wiring see
<http://www.qsl.net/wa2mzf/d104.html>.

Attention: The mic jack on Collins (and some other) equipment is not for a
normal (6,3mm) stereo plug, this will not go in, as the special mic plug
(called "PL-68", I think) it's slightly thinner but has the same structure
(tip, ring and sleeve) !

The D-104 has a very long history, it was produced from the 1930's until a
few years ago, with different versions of stands, PTT switches only on the
column or also as a bar on the socket, and different finishings (e.g. the
"silver eagle" and even a "golden eagle"). The cartridges are crystal or
magnetic, both existed and they should still be available, I bought one a
couple of years ago. There is a lot more out there on the web about the D-104,
