[Collins] transceive connections on s line

With all cables connected,per the 2 manuals to do transceive operation   [32-s3/75s-3b]  there is one jack left open on the slug rack of the 32s-3 it is J7 [xmtr xtal osc] should there be a termanation plug inserted into this jack or should it be left open?
have looked thru the books,but can find no mention of this.I noticed on the video about the two rigs that durning calb. and setup It looked like the plug was in the jack but could not tell for sure.
