This reminded me that I've got a Waters model 349 Channelator sitting around
doing nothing.

This was an accessory which provided crystal controlled transmit, receive or
both for the KWM-2 or 2A. It used a single 6BH6 oscillator tube, and had six
crystal positions, with individual trimmer capacitors across each crystal
socket.

It plugged into the PTO socket of the KWM-2, kind of a poor man's 312B-5.

A favorable review, with block diagram, appeared in June 1964 "CQ".
