Hi Everyone.

Thanks again for all the great help I received on
troubleshooting the keying lockup problem with my 32S-3.

I'm still a little nervous if the problem is solved or
not, but the rig seems to be functioning just fine right
now.

Since I never found the "silver bullet" as David
mentioned, I am somewhat concerned that my problem may
return.

Here's what I did find:

I did replace the two 68K resistors with two 17K, 5 watt
in series. (Anybody know where I can find a 34K at 7-10
watt?) I also substituted several 6U8s for V11 until I
found one that worked the best. In addition I noticed
that the 10M vox time constant pot, R86, was dirty and
intermittent, so I cleaned it well and it seemed to
respond much more smoothly. All the resistance
measurements were very close according to the book as
were most of the voltage readings. However the 275v
read a solid 300. Is that a problem? Also, is using a
5R4GYB in the power supply a problem over a GYA? I had
a BYB in the power supply for a while and then took it
out and put the GYA back in that seemed to help.

Anyway, I had the transmitter keyed for 60 seconds and
it did not lock up on me. Before it locked up after 20
seconds. Solved? Who knows? I'll have to wait until I
get really long-winded someday to find out I guess.

Thanks again for all the help and any further
suggestions or comments on what I found would be most
appreciated.
