[Collins] 75S3 Receiver Audio Problem

Hi all:
  I have a 75S3 receiver that when I'm turning the dial from 120 to 200, =
the noise level goes down a bit without turning the gain dial.  This =
happens on all bands.  Is this a problem or normal operation for a 30 =
year old receiver.  Thanks for all inputs.
