The automatic replacement of these two resistors is not the "silver bullet"
in many cases. Try to substitute another 6U8 for V11. Also check C185
hanging from the cathode of V14 by paralleling another 20 mfd across the
capacitor or replace. Make sure that the voltages on V11 and V14 are
nominal with the factory specifications found in your manual. I am sure
that others will have additional suggestions.

Subject: [Collins] 32S-3B
Thanks for all the help I received on the keying problem
in my 32S-3B.
After changing out some of the tubes (do the easy things
first) my problem seemed to get slightly worse. I
checked the two 68K, 2 watt resistors in parallel R89
and R112 and they looked like they had been warm a time
or two. I replaced them, as one of you suggested.
After firing up the transmitter following the resistor
change, the problem had gotten worse. Now the
transmitter keys itself after warm up.
Upon checking the resistors, I noticed that they got
pretty hot and I assume that is what caused the
transmitter to key. The original resistors are 68K at 2
watt which is what I replaced them with. Someone
mentioned that Collins replaced them with a single 34K,
7 watt unit. Will this work, or is there a reason these
resistors are getting so hot and changing value? Should
I be barking up another tree here and looking for
another problem that causes too much current to flow
through these resistors?
Thanks again for all the help. You guys are great!!
