How about a shorted AC line bypass capacitor [if you are lucky], or an
internal short in the transformer [if you are not so lucky]? This theory
presupposes that the receiver is grounded. 73; good hunting.

Subject: [Collins] 51S-1 Problem.

OK Gang here is a real interesting problem, when I plug my 51S-1 into the
wall outlet it blows F1 (Main fuse) even with the rig turned off???
Have checked all the obvious stuff, diodes, filter caps etc. and see nothing
that looks like it may cause the problem, any ideas???

Thanks & 73's Dutch
