I am sad to report that Tom, W9OKA is a silent key. This information came
from the W9OKA website.
As many of you know, Tom was regular on the CRA Collins Net on Monday
evening. I cannot believe that this fine gentleman is gone but certainly,
not forgotten. It was my pleasure to meet Tom at the Dayton Hamvention last
month. He was coming to the Collins Radio Center on June 2, to spend some
time with us after he attended the Butler Hamfest, which he scrubbed from
his schedule. I would have so loved to have had Tom see the CRC. I am sure
that he is looking down on all of us and smiling. What a great ham and
engineer and friend.
Silent Key - W9OKA
Tom Clemins, W9OKA, suffered a massive stoke about 5:00PM on June 14,
2002. He was taken to Pocono Medical Center at 6:00PM and then
transfered to LeHigh Valley at about 11:00PM. He was removed from life
support at approximately 3:45AM on June 15, 2002 and passed away at
4:15PM.
Funeral arrangements have not yet been made but will most likely consist
of a small, family, cerimony. This is what Tom wanted. Letters of
condolences can be sent to the following address.
