We need many more, in fact a legion of Collins Helpers scattered all across
the world, in fact, to assist others who need technical assistance, parts,
advice for first-time Collins owners, etc. Presently, we have had five
individuals who have asked to be included on a list that will appear in the
Collins Journal publication and on the CRA website.
PLEASE, have your name submitted so that we can help others preserve this
wonderful hobby of ours. You do not have to hold a degree in E.E. or be a
30 year retired Collins engineer, or someone with a full-service technical
shop, etc. - just someone who would not mind being a "Colins Helper" to
someone who needs to chat about Collins, etc. Many times, it is someone
who would like to sell or buy a piece of Collins and does not the value of a
piece of Collins equipment, etc.
I get inquiries, at times, asking if I would furnish the caller a name from
his/her area - perhaps, a subscriber of the Collins Journal which there are
many throughout the world - but I am hesitant to do so because I believe
that subscribing to the CJ does not entitle me to divulge personal
information of that sort. I have been asked for a list of CRA members, over
1,000 now, and I will not do so because the list could fall into the hands
of a commercial vendor for purely exploitation purposes.
So, please, let me hear from you. If you do not want your phone number
listed, then just your mailing address or email address will do. To those
who have volunteered in response to my last request, I want to thank you.
Can we add your name to our list of "Collins Helpers?"
