Don Kang who developed his version of a solid-state replacement for the =
6BF5 audio tube in the S-Line receivers, now has developed a solid-state =
replacement for the PTO tube. The size is about 1/2 inches high and =
plugs directly into the tube socket. You can get Don's address from the =
CRA website in the "Collins Album" section for February, 2002. Don sent =
me the device and it works equally as well as the tube. However, =
because of interelectrode capacitance difference you will have readjust =
the slug on the top of the PTO enclosure. I believe that I measured =
about 2 Khz - no big deal.
