The ARRL has CD-ROM sets of QST for the 40's, 50's, and 60's. There are
hundreds of construction articles and a wealth of theory and construction
tips.  Everything from 1W to 1KW plate modulated AM. Also look on ebay for a
50's or 60's Handbook.
I'm sure you will find something close to your desires.

I do have a 10 Hy 250 mA choke available but I may end up using it on my

I've seen it done with the EFJ Courier. I would like, quite frankly, to get
away from putting the choke in the B+ area if at all possible.
