This evening, July 10, the CRA sponsored Collins Net will be on or about
3853 Khz, the new frequency.
Time is 9 PM EDST. Please join us now since all classes of amateur radio
licensees can use this frequency rather than the former 3805 Khz frequency.
The Collins Net is on Mondays and Wednesdays as well as Saturdays at Noon
EDST on 14250 Khz. Net control station is at the Collins Radio Center using
the Association's special call, W3CRA.

Also, if you are looking for a nice place to visit this summer, why not the
Collins Radio Center?
Near Johnstown, just off Route 219, we are open to the public, in the
evenings and all weekends or by appointments. Contact us for directions if
you are contemplating a visit. We'll "keep the light on" for you.

With the appointment of Dr. Johnson, K0CQ, as the CRA technical adviser,
the CRA is still looking for anyone interested in being a "Collins Helper
worldwide. So far the CRA has recognized five of these volunteers that
provide assistance to others on purchasing Collins, repairing and
restoration, etc. Won't you step forward to add your name to the list which
appeared in the latest issue of the Collins Journal. Yes, there are lots of
hams who do not have Internet capability and therefore cannot use this
wonderful mail list. If you want a copy of the present list, please contact
me.

The first Sunday in August, we plan on attending the Berryville Hamfest near
Winchester, VA. As is the custom each year, a group of us gather at Noon at
the refreshment stand to talk Collins, naturally. Please join us if you go.

Thank you.
