Folks:

I have a friend who just bought a HF-380. It works fine except for the MHz
pushbutton. By this I mean the unit remains on the same frequency when the
MHz pushbutton is pushed and the tuning knob is turned. Right now he has to
painfully rotate the main tuning knob when using KHz scaling. Can you
imagine how many turns it takes of that knob to go from the startup
frequency of 15.000 MHz to say 20M? To go to 15M is also a killer. Anybody
got any ideas as to what the problem might be? The pushbutton does work and
he gets continuity acorss the contacts when in the "in" position.

The unit he bought is SN 1257, MCN 373, Rev R. Can anyone translate for me
what this means?

Collins also made an AC-3805A Keypad, number 651-7412-002. Are any of these
around anymore or has everybody gone the Kiron route?

Thanks for any info/help.
