Hi All:

    Currently working over a 75S-1 which had an addition installed
sometime in the past, presumably pre-dating the 75S-3 because
it allowed insertion of a crystal into a new socket mounted on the
front panel just below the preselector tuning knob...

    Selection of the new crystal is achieved by depressing a chrome
rectamgular pushbutton switch installed alongside the RF Gain
control.   The creator probably wanted the capability for MARS or
other out-of-band operation...  I will send a GIF file picture of the
mod to anybody interested in seeing it...

    I was considering parting out this chassis, but the workmanship on
this addition is superb, and maybe the radio can find a home with the
original owner or somebody who knows/knew the person who did it...

   Other changes are not so superb, so the radio isn't ready to move yet,
but if anybody recognizes this modification and can tell me more about
it, I would appreciate any and all info...
