es there is. Harbaugh Electronics, which is better known for it's SB-200/220
upgrades also make a "Soft Key" product for the 30L1. I installed one in
mine and can run it behind an FT-847 now with no problems. I think the kit
is around $20 or so.

Is there a commonly done mod for the 30L-1 to convert it to low positive
voltage, low current keying such as is frequently done to SB-220's?
