Hello all.

Caveat - some of my knowledge is a couple of years old, but on the other
hand this does not seem to be a really volatile product with AOR.

If you read reviews or ads for the DDS-2A that serve overseas markets, you
see that serial control is a feature. In the domestic literature, it isn't.
The version sold in the US is not fitted with the DE9-S connector, although
the etch pattern is on the board, the panel is punched, and the innards do
support the feature. The hole left by the unpopulated connector is covered
by a sticky label. It was explained to me that it is omitted in order to
comply with - or maybe just avoid altogether - the regulations of some US
agency.

If anyone does know of PC software that supports this neat little unit, I
would be interested.

BTW - I noticed that AOR were selling a KWM-2(A?) at Dayton.
