Greetings to all:
Here is another extremely nice, collectable piece offered first to
the list:
Cedar Rapids manufactured Collins 75A-4 receiver SR# 5768 (that is
correct 5768). Three filters installed: 500 Hz CW; 3.1 KHz SSB; and 6 KHz
AM. Original manual. This is one of the very last A-4's made by anyone's
accounting. This receiver was re-capped by a previous owner. Dial
end-spread calibration is near perfect. It has worked flawlessly for me for
the several years that I have owned it with the following exception. The
"A" filter position is somewhat down from the other two positions. All
three filters supplied are in excellent condition (very low insertion loss).
One other unique feature of this very late receiver is that there is a key
lock installed in the finger hole on cabinet top. It appears to be the same
type as used on the KWS-1. I will sell for $2,500 including professional
packing and shipping anywhere in the original 48.
