Note that Everette no longer rebuilds three-section caps. The third cap will be external. Also, when submitting a cap for rebuilding, be sure to specify that you want the "can" soldered to the base. This is not normally done by default. There's no additional charge, but why have a floating can.

INFO--FRontier Electronics in Lehr, ND will re-build your can
type electrolytics.
A good job from the ones I have seen at various radio shows. I believe
his name is Everette Hoard.
I shall look for his address if you wish.
60 Hertz (cycles if you wish) quite often is a result of a grid
return resistor grounded to the socket tabs
and the heater return to the same socket mouting plate. Ahigh resistance
joint between the aluminum chassis
and the socket mount will inject a few millivolts the grid resistor. This
can be hard to locate. I had a GE TV
transmitter with 60 cycle ripple in the video, Trans. GE s/n 001 Ch(
sioux City Ia. The cure was to drill for a #4
self tapping screw at each socket to fasten the socket to the chassis
with a good connection. This did remove
the hum bars and eliminated some other problems. ( GE later in new
production placed external lockwashers
between the socket and chassis when riviting the sockets in (circa
1953!!)
thanks for the bandwidth.
