I will have my BC-221 on the air tomorrow; 7036 kHz,
28 April 2022, 1300z, (0900 EDT).

7036 kHz +/-1. Operating portable with a wire in a tree.
There should be propagation 1,000 miles, East & West.

My old BC-221 was lifted from the Scrap Heap of eBay. It kept everyone on the right frequency during WW2. They even had them in aircraft. The Navy version was the LM-15.

Here is a picture of it:

This is a 'One of a Kind' radio. See QRP Quarterly, April 2021, p. 23, “ Trojan Horse Radio: QRP Rig Disguised as a BC-221”,
for the entire story.

   It weighs about 15 pounds with a 12V (3S2P - 26650) LiIon battery pack.
