   My last operation from the 7 Lakes area was a few weeks ago
 Access to the Pikes Peak South Slope is restricted.
 It is open from May through Sept.
If you want to go there this year you need to apply now.
You must make a reservation ($20).

    Hiker Warnings: These are high altitude trails; you must be in good physical condition to hike. Altitudes at the South Slope range from 10,500 to 12,000 feet.
  Most of the visitors are fisher men/women.
They have nice sheltered picnic tables and an out house.
