I will have my BC-221 on the air today 17 Dec. 2017 @ 1715z.
  7030 kHz +/-2.

This is a cold wx test for this radio. It is below freezing now.
I will be operating portable with a wire in a tree.

The rig has a  '1 Watter' refitted into an old BC-221 Frequency Meter cabinet.

It is driving a Pacific Antenna  10W amplifier <http://www.qrpkits.com/10wamp.html> .

This is a 40 meter only rig and has a range from 7018 to 7037 kHz.

It also has a 4 States CW audio filter, <[http://www.4sqrp.com<http://www.4sqrp.com]http://www.4sqrp.com<http://www.4sqrp.com>>>.

 It  weighs about 15 pounds with a 12V (3S2P - 26650) LiIon battery pack.
