Hi everyone:

Just wanted to let you all know that in an effort to generate a little local traffic, I have decided to move the KB0OXD-L node from 145.520 (In the Misc/Experimental portion of the 2M band plan) to 146.460 (Which is of course FM simplex). This move is permanent. In addition, ON A TRIAL BASIS (Which could also become permanent if all goes well), I have COMPLETELY REMOVED the 100.0 Hz. PL Tone access HOWEVER if QRM is found locally, I WILL **NOT** HESISTATE TO REINSTATE THE 100.0 Hz. PL Tone access to quiet things down. If/When this happens, it will mean that local users will just simply have to have CTCSS capability.

Of course, the PL Tone WILL NOT be enabled in the event of a local QSO. If confusion occurs, the node will be disconnected from any node or conference server on EchoLink until I reconnect it.

As for the nets, this will not significantly change. The KB0OXD-L node will still participate in the daily Mon-Sat & Monday Evening Handi-Hams Net and all the nets on the *DODROPIN* conference server and elsewhere on the system. The only thing that WILL change is the opportunity for locals to check-in because my node is now on a more "conventional" simplex frequency with (At least for the time being) NO PL Tone (Again, subject to reinstatement in the event of local QRM issues).

Anyway....Just wanted to pass this tidbit of info. along. If there are any coordination issues (Which there shouldn't be, but I suppose I'll never know till I find out one way or the other), lemme know by dropping me an at kb0oxd at live.com and put in the subject line FREQUENCY COORDINATION.

Cheers & 73 :)
