I am writing at the suggestion of the Police Dept. to ask you
and your help in retrieving some stolen amateur radio
equipment. I obtained this mailing list from QSL.Net.
I had installed in my motor coach a complete HF setup with data
capabilities which was stolen. The equipment was mounted into
a custom made cherry wood transportable cabinet. The robbery
took place in Canon City on March 10.
The equipment was mounted vertically in the cabinet with all
controls accessible from the top. The major pieces of installed
equipment were a new Kenwood TS570D(G) HF rig SN 20500055,
AEA PK232 data controller with the MBX upgrade SN 15244,
MFJ 940D Versa Tuner II, B&W (Baker & Williamson) FL10/1500
Low Pass Filter, and Entrega HUB-2U4S 4 port USB to serial port
converter. In addition there is a host of data, USB and audio
cabling, audio isolating transformers, snap ferrite chokes, and =
shielding.
Attached is a sketch and partial photograph of the cabinet. The photo =
shows
a TS440, but this was later changed to a TS570. The cabinet dimensions
are 30.5" W, 30" H, 7.5" D and weights about 45 lbs. The cabinet is
furniture grade.
I would very much appreciate if you would mention this at your club =
meetings.
At some point this equipment, in whole or part, will be offered for =
sale.
Should one of your members come across this equipment please ask them
to contact the Canon City Police Dept., Officer Mike Slattery @ =
719-276-5600
ext 3916 and refer to incident # 357049 or me @ 719-784-4606.
Thank you very much for your help.
