Hi Guys,
Here is the deal,
Sign in time is 0700 @ the Ft Collins Loveland Airport. I-25 and Crossroads exit. Travel west to the first traffic signal and turn north. That will bring you back around to the frontage road . Then enter the Airport from that road.
Parking is in the staging area.
Sign in will be in the building adjacent to the Terminal (not far from where you are being asked to park)
Equipment needs: VHF/UHF HTs
VHF/UHF Crossband repeat mobiles
Extra Batteries for your HT and sufficient battery to
allow you to run thru the exercise for your mobile.
Clip board, paper and pens
Weather is expected to be ok in the AM.... However, this is Colorado. Plan accordingly.
There has been some last minute questions in terms of the numbers available for the exercise. This is creating a challenge for assignments. However, here is how we will handle that.
There will be essentially 6 teams, but 7 assignments. Two of which are already assigned as the EOC Team and the video team. Those are all folks who are regularly assigned to the City of Loveland EOC.
The other 4 teams will be as follows. Team #1 Triage, treatment and transport. The team leader will be Jeff Ford, K0JEF. Team #2 Medical Center of the Rockies. Team leader will be Chet Norris, KC0DSJ. Team #3 McKee Medical Center. Team Leader will be KA0VNB Rob Gentry. Team #4 Poudre Valley Hospital. Team Leader will be Dave Kisling, K9QN. Team # 5 will be Net Control. Team leader will be Dave KC0FNE.
Tactical calls,
Loveland EOC: EOC
Video Crew: Video
Team #1: Triage
Team #2: MCR
Team #3 McKee
Team#4 PVH
Team #5 Net Control
Frequencies: Primary : 147.195 Loveland 100hz tone
2mr Secondary : 145.115 NCARC 100 hz tone
Backup: 447.275 NCARC100 hz tone
.
Assignments for remaining folks will be made on site, once we know for sure who we have. Sorry folks, but with the shifting around, we are trying to position our assets as best we can. We will still however insure that no one is left to the wolves. Little or no experienced will be operating with more experienced ops. THe idea is to bring our experience up and allow for success as well as networking with the agencies.
Team leaders utilizing cross band repeat will need to coordinate with each other to allow for frequency coordination.
All stations will need to allow for cross band repeaters to drop, so let the repeater drop, so stations can reply and be heard.
We will utilize cross band repeat, because of the hospital environment. The metal in the building coupled with the concrete does not allow good delivery of VHF signals out side or back into the hospital buildings. We have found that unless we have outside antennas, we have huge obstacles to overcome. We do have things in the works for antennas at all of these facilities, but are not all currently in place.
ID's. The agencies know we are short on ID's... Non Existent right now. Its going to take a remake of photos to get that done, and maybe we can get some of those tomorrow. Sorry for the delay and the inconvienence.
Make sure you sign in tomorrow, and sign out!!! Signing in gets you an assignment, Signing out prevents the command staff from sending people looking for you once this is done.
Lunch is provided. Exercise will stop no later than 12:00 noon. It may stop sooner if we have a real life emergency or weather moves in sooner than expected.
Thanks all for your participation and will look forward to seeing you in the morning.
Sorry for the late hour this is going out, but at this point it could not be helped.
73 and see you in the morning.
