NWS Boulder has contacted one of our NCS's and advised of conditions being favorable for Severe Weather in our area. It may include, but not be limited to Severe Thunderstorms, Strong winds, Hail, Heavy rains at times and even the potential for a tornado or two.. Areas in the area of concern are east of the foothills with the threat being greater the farther east one goes.
W0MBH will be starting an informal net on the 145.115 in about the next half hour. If you check in let him know your availability as well as your capabilities. If you are not available for an extended period of time, do not check in as available. If you need to leave after checking in please check out as its necessary for us to have a handle on what kind of resources we have out there.
Additionally, it appears that the season is opening early this year here as it has elsewhere in the country. FOr those who don't know or who have forgotten, we have Severe Weather Training this Saturday at the Southwest Weld Service center. Begins at 0900. For additional info contact me at my email of w0avv at arrl.net.
Thanks,
Randy, W0AVV
