HI Guys,
Item #1 Thanks to the 19 stations we had on the net tonight. We are alive
and well and moving forward on the weekly nets. We hope to have weekly
training, beginning next week (first week in September) and successive
weeks. We have new net controls that have been appointed for the month of
September along with trainers. Come join us!
Item # 2 Minor Cross has consented to be the current second in command for
D-10 for our served agencies to contact, should I be out of pocket. Please
welcome him to that position. All of our AEC's are good, quality,
experienced operators who volunteer time above and beyond the call to make
this district work. Help them help you make this the best quality district
that we can! We just ask for your support and participation in nets,
training, exercises and events. I know Minor and the rest of the management
team will appreciate your support and participation.
Item #3 Mike Hickerson has consented to be the new Net Manager. There will
be training available, mentors and support you will not find any place else
in this state. Our goal is to achieve #1 status for NCS and net operations
in the state. Something other districts can model their nets on. We need
each member who can and will to help us by participating. Mike can be
reached on the air, but also by email @ w0mbh at hotmail.com
Item #4 We are updating information to our served agencies. Many people are
already on the database and we encourage people to keep that information
updated. It seem many have let that go. Please up date that information as
well as taking the new survey. This survey only goes one place. It comes to
me, Randy, W0AVV. The data will be placed in a spreadsheet and used for the
purposes of generating reports in terms of our capabilities and
availability.
In this survey you are asked to evaluate the operation of the team, give
suggestions and opinions. We want honest input. Your name will not be shared
with others, without your prior permission, but the data will help us see
where we need to go as a district, what we do well and what we need
improvement in. that URL is http//home.earthlink.net.~woipl/D10Surv.htm
(this is case sensitive, so make sure there is a cap "D" and a cap "S" near
the end.)
#5 If you have a criticism I certainly welcome them. So long as you provide
a suitable solution that would be appropriate for the majority of members
and is within the keeping of the goals of ARES D-10. Suggestions are welcome
and may be made to me or any of the management team. Email addresses are
available on the D-10 web page.
Thanks for your participation, support and cooperation.
73,
Randy Long, W0AVV
