Hello to All,
I am posting this to the list to seek advice and comments from the members
to improve this configuration.
I have a Dodge Ram Quad Cab (4 door 6 Passenger) pickup. I am equipping it
for emergency communications. Here is the configuration I am planning. (I
have all the equipment for this; it is just a matter of organizing and
installing it).
There will be 3 operating positions:
Driver, front seat passenger, and back seat passenger.
The driver will have a TM-d700A. Band A normally used for APRS and Band B
used for 144 or 440 voice. The Passenger will have another TM-D700A which
be used for packet and another voice channel, or two voice channels. He
will also have a TS-480HX for HF. There will also be a 6 meter and a 220MHz
FM transceiver in the front to be shared.
The rear seat operator will have a two meter FM transceiver, a dual band
(144, 440) transceiver and a TNC for both. There will also be a ICOM 706 MK
II G for whatever it is needed.
.
The follow will also be available:
Laptop in front and rear (networked), a printer and a scanner.
600 watt light weight generator.
15 foot mast for beams
144/440 beam
2 meter beam
ATV receiver
Please let me know what you would change.
Thanks and 73,
Ken W7TS
