HI Guys and Gals,
I have been watching storm development, in light of yesterdays oops and find
some interesting stuff on Radar and Satellite. While NWS seems to thinks
this is going to not affect our area, I seem to see a conflict. I would
encourage you to view the resources I have if you have doubts, but the Low
seems to be centered about Moab, Utah. There is significant moisture moving
in from Northern New Mexico. The pattern seems to be setting up and upslope
for Northern Colorado. In that we have adequate heating today, presently
(1300 local) with that significant moisture, and the low being where it is,
we could indeed see significant weather this afternoon.
I am not a meteorologist as you all know. I don't have any inside
information or tracks on this one, but it is a pattern we have seen before
which netted us significant weather. SO. Heads up and keep an eye to the
sky.
By the way, those url's I spoke of are NWS sites as follows:
http://www.crh.noaa.gov/radar/loop/DS.p19r0/si.kabx.shtml ABK, NM
http://www.crh.noaa.gov/radar/loop/DS.p19r0/si.kftg.shtml Den, Co
http://www.crh.noaa.gov/radar/loop/DS.p19r0/si.kgjx.shtml GJ. Co
http://www.crh.noaa.gov/radar/loop/DS.p19r0/si.kpux.shtml Pub, Co
http://www.goes.noaa.gov/GSSLOOPS/wcvs.html Goes West Sat
Getting the whole picture may help you arrive at a conclusion similar to
mine. These are all loops and show storm movement.
Thanks and stay safe out there.
Randy, W0AVV
