 Hello George, Luis and Group: GREAT to hear some traffic on the list. I can also say that I have not read anything on the list in years (???) other then today's activity and the monthly subscribe/unsubscribe notice. In the past 2 + years I have been overseas and/or back and forth in Canada. My Amateur Radio operating has been minimal, some from the company HF Shack or HF equipped Toyota Land Cruiser Pick-Ups in Pakistan, some HF operating from Afghanistan/Iraq with the help of our USA friends.
  Here at home I still have all the HF gear, an entire HF station packed away. There are days when I would pay to operate HF !!!! My last station minimal, yet was able to work the world on 80/40/20m, so using a well equipped station with a less then ideal antenna (good ground and radial system) getting out is possible. It just takes some ingenuity and some hard work. I love the pile ups, equally, I like to take the time and rag - chew, talk to people, we are an interesting bunch...
  Perhaps your messages George and Luis is a wake up call, or perhaps we are a just not able or wanting to do this.
