[Cliffdwellers] QRM on HF

Using an AM receiver, I noticed noise being generated by both radio and switching power supply whenever the receiver is place near either of them. The QRM disappears if the move the receiver away.
I then used a regular 3 amp power supply and noticed the QRM on the radio is still there. Assuming a regular power supply does not generate that kind of noise, I assume the source is within the radio itself? The receiver picks up the strongest QRM when it is positioned above the freq. display and tuning dial.
What can I do about this? Thanks!
Walter
