[Cliffdwellers] grounding to water pipe

I'm thinking of connecting the ground wire from the HF rig and tuner to the hot and/or cold water pipes behind the bathroom wall.  The pipes are directly connected to the valves and faucet of the tub.  Does this setup pose any danger to someone using the shower?  
 
Also, is it true that the best ground wire should be smooth solid wire and not braided as I see in most installations?
