Hi,
Has anyone run across any magloop (HF & 6M ) antenna manufacturers that =
you know of ??
I did run across a old ad from AOR for their low power magloop(s) with =
receive preselector& on a UK shack-web-site (we need a name for these =
- maybe like 'e-shack'?). It looked rather nice and can cover 160 -> 6M =
-- no 15M though - on two loops (1.6 -> 9mHz and 13 -> 60mHz) but it's =
not listed on their 'aorusa' site.
MFJ has a rather nice looking but pricey unit --USD$380.-- that covers =
10-30mHz (misses 40 & 80M bands) , but has so many 'gotchas' in the =
writeup about burning up the antenna and control head (asks you NOT to =
ground the unit or the control head or it's power supply), that it would =
frighten away even a bull fighter.
There are lotsa' homebrews all over the place - but I guess I'm looking =
for a functional piece of furniture to keep peace-at-home.
Beside homebrews and amateur built ones, are there any commercial =
manufacturers that you know of who build HF magloop units -- mostly =
interested in 40, 20, 10, & 6M?. There are a few eggbeater types built =
for 2M & 440 that, being circular polarized, are AOK for satwork.
