[Central-Electronics] W9DYV Symposium

[nicktusa at aol.com]

Hi All,
Please see https://winterfest.slsrc.org/ for W9DYV Symposium/Winterfest details. This year's topics include the CE 100R Receiver; Bob Nickels informative history of the Hallicrafters FPM200 (along with an actual example); Bob Sullivan's insight on the Signal/One Corporation and its innovative products: Heavy Metal RTTY and W6IWI's experiences in developing a DSP-based RTTY system; and then there's the Quiet Zone. Nested in West Virginia, the Green Bank Observatory conducts important distant galaxy radio research. Protected by the FCC, until just recently no radio transmissions of any type were allowed within a large geographic region termed "the Quiet Zone"....no wireless telephones, wi-fi, CB radios, Ham radios, etc... Yet, Ham Radio plays a role! Learn how at this year's Symposium!
Please pass the word to your boatanchor pals.....73 Nick
