Gus,
The normal method is to use the Operation switch where STDBY and MAN positions are used. Switching to MAN keys the transmitter.
On my 20A I added a relay to key the wire used on the MAN position (must be in MAN), and a extra set of contacts is used as a T/R switch. I added a BNC on the back for the receiver. Also added a 1/4" Mic jack with an extra circuit for the PTT.
In my case I used a 12v relay, DPDT. I made power with a voltage doubler from the 6.3vac.
Hope this helps.

I wonder if anyone can tell me how to connect PTT in my 20A. I just finish restoring it , did voltage measurements and is ready for a test.
When I can figure PTT , I would be testing with a dummy load for the first time and monitoring my output with an old HF receiver.
Thanks to anyone who can help me.
Gus,
