Wow, thanks for all the info guys. I am going to have to do some homework.

I have picked up a few BAs over the last 5-10 years and have been looking forward to retirement and having fun working on them. Most of the stuff has been collecting dust in the basement. With winter coming up fast I hope to spend some quality time in the basement. hi

Have you found a work around for that? There are some others that go over 40 MHz. The RIT function is what you use to keep the VFO out of your receiver. You have the RIT set to something like 1 MHz. Then the VFO is 1 MHz high until you close the transmit switch in which time it jumps down to your transmit frequency. It works great on the VFO I have. Wonderful QSK on CW.

Along with it, I will be replacing the paper and electrolytics. Then an alignment and maybe it will play well.

I will use it with one and possibly 2 DDS VFO’s. I will for sure use the DDS VFO in place of the old command set VFO. It is already working well with the 20A. I may buy a very basic DDS VFO to substitute the 9 MHz crystal with. I would think it would be the most stable option. Just set it to 9 MHz and forget it.
