Thanks for the info on Nick Tusa. Actually I know Nick and have emailed him also. He hasn’t responded to my last 2 emails, so I think he’s tied up with other stuff. I just tried emailing him again. I hope there’s nothing wrong….. I think he’s subbing out some of his work to W0YVA.
I bought my 600L from Nick and it’s very nice. It’s working great with my Ranger and I am hoping I can ultimately pair up a really nice 20A to it. I will use it with one and possibly 2 DDS VFO’s. I will for sure use the DDS VFO in place of the old command set VFO. It is already working well with the 20A. I may buy a very basic DDS VFO to substitute the 9 MHz crystal with. I would think it would be the most stable option. Just set it to 9 MHz and forget it.
I’d still like to find a 20A “ready to go”.
