[Central-Electronics] Unusual transceiver on eBay

What an unusual situation: As Grant and others have remarked, a beautiful piece of amateur radio's manufacturing art, clearly "Collins" quality, and yet, a mystery. Seems like at least of one us old dogs would recognize it or have seen it in a CQ, Ham Radio, 73, or QST ad back in the 59-60 timeframe or on a desk in a MARS military installation. There's nothing currently on the web about it. Will check the Wayback archives later today. Hope whoever buys it is "one of us" and will share their close up and personal discoveries.
73,
Chris

No question this is an interesting piece. At least Collins quality construction, if not better — down to the chassis nomenclature markings being stamped instead of painted.
Whoever the manufacturer was — it’s a beautiful piece of work.
