Yes, but just down the bench a ways I also see the silhouette of a 100V. If
the 100V has already been gone through *and* has 160m, and the 200V has not
and suffers from the typical lumpy/stuck VFO bearings, for me it's not even
close. I'd go with the 100V and get right to enjoying it.

I certainly remember the CR-88 as I was set up directly across from it and
was there when it was unloaded. Walked by it numerous times fighting the
urge to glomm onto it. A friend and fellow AMer was selling it and asked me
to make him an offer several times. I managed not to because I was afraid
he'd take it. To combat the urge to buy more 'stuff' I started taking very
few $$ to the events with me. Of course, whenever I use that as an excuse
now, someone in the group will offer to front me the money. Some help!

That is a truly wonderful receiver. The repaint is excellent and it's the
first one I'd seen in a Coast Guard/Treasury-type cabinet similar to the
R-649. But I've already got three other versions of the AR-88 family and it
looks to me like the CR-88 found a good home with you. It should be a very
nice station once you get it all lashed up, especially with the TTY gear
lurking nearby.
