Hello all,
I spent the fall and winter building a new shack over the garage. I had been planning for this project for several years. Over the course of these years I acquired a lot of radios and other goodies. Now that the shack has been built, it is clear I overestimated the amount of space I would have :(
So, I will have to sell either my 100V or a 200V. I bought the 200V about 2 years ago and never took it out of the shipping box. It went right into storage. The 100V was restored by W0YVA back in 2005 and it was my main transmitte for several years. The 100V has some minor issues, basically the VFO could use some rebuilding (it has developed a gritty feeling when dialing around) and has some minor hum on the transmit audio.
I have finally unearthed the 200V and it will go on the bench soon. It is in extremely beautiful condition as is the 100V.
So - All things being equal (assuming the same physical and electrical condition) which is more desirable to keep?
Has anyone produced a succinct list of differences of these radios? I know some differences such as switches on the front panel and a solid state rectifier. But I was wondering if anyone had published the differences on the web or elsewhere (I looked for something like that on ce-multiphase.com but nothing).
Also, reviewing the 200V manual that I have and the 100V brochure on ce-multiphase, it appears that they both have 100W output. I guess I thought the 200V to have more output.
Ok folks, assuming they are working equally well, which to keep?
