Thank-you Gordon for the lovely bouquet!

I strive to do a very good job that measures up to my own standards

As you mentioned about the doors, they were an un expected challenge because
they are copper clad steel and had an original primer that basically
resisted common removers. Multiple stripper coats and cleaning with fine
steel wool really polished the copper and it didn't want to take primer.
Hind sight being 20-20 I should have just wet sanded the original paint,
leaving the original primer, and shot over that or tried etching the copper
before priming. A possible lesson there for when we know that copper clad
is involved.

Another question I'm getting is what paint was used. It was PPG OMNI AE
(acrylic enamel). It is a fast dry automotive shop paint that happens to be
available spittin distance from my front door and the guys there do a great
job matching color. It is thinned about 1 part enamel to 4 parts thinner.
I found a little thinner than actually required gave me better control with
my humble equipment, a little more time to move a little slower to build a
finish. I'm sure it depends on the operator and tools as much as anything.

Happy to have done it and answer any questions that come along. I've got
several 20A panels and a couple Heathkit items I want to do this spring and
may even tackle some banged up S line cabinets that are taking up space.
